This home was lovingly
designed and built by the current owners…
Eat in Kitchen
-
The new Oak
kitchen was designed/installed in 2004 and is divided into work stations: the
prep area, baking area, cooking area and cleaning area for a nice flow of
activities with two islands.
-
Pull out pan
shelves, customized knife drawer, lowered baking/mixing counter, double ovens,
cookbook shelf, tiled backsplash, 2 food pantries, utility closet, magnetic
knife strip, and garbage disposal.
-
Built in bookcase
units, computer desk, built in cabinet for napkins, tissues, salt & pepper etc.
-
Built in TV
stand.
-
Convenient direct
access to the formal dining room and screen porch.
Formal Living Room (or possible
Library)
-
Wood burning
fireplace and soaring 11’-9” high vaulted ceiling.
-
Room was drawn
into the original plans as a library and has recessed lighting over the loveseat
for a future “built” in bookcase and/or desk area.
-
Room serves
beautifully as a formal living room both a quiet respite and an elegant
entertainment area.
Master
Bedroom Suite
-
Room boasts a
soaring 10’ high vaulted ceiling, ceiling fan, plenty of room for a King size
bedroom set, sitting area and/or private office.
-
Originally this
room contained a queen size bed, daybed, armoire, upholstered chair & ottoman, a
full size TV, and nightstand.
-
This room could
easily be converted to a first floor in-law suite as well with privacy from the
main home.
Master Bath
-
This bath
features a soaking tub and serene side yard views. The tub has larger than
normal plumbing pipes so the tub fills very quickly.
-
Over sized shower
has glass door and convenient seat.
-
The vanity has an
oversize sink, extra GFI outlets, lots of drawers and a sitting area for
makeup. There is a kick toe heater for warming the tile in the cold winter
months.
-
The adjoining
master closet features mirror bi-folds and a custom built closet system with
built in drawers, shelves, tall closet cabinet, as well as full and dual height
clothing rods.
Guest Half Bath
-
This is just a
basic half bath although it does have one surprising feature. This toilet as
well as all the others has an anti overflow feature so should it become clogged
the toilet will fill to the top and not go over…such a lifesaver!!
Family Room or Great Room
-
Soaring 14’-8”
High vaulted ceiling and a massive brick wood burning fireplace direct your
attention in this room. There are 2 French sliding doors that open on to the
back deck.
-
The raised hearth
makes for added enjoyment and the built in wood box is very convenient.
-
There is a large
game/storage closet as a hidden bonus. Another hidden feature is that behind the
closet there is a hollow chase that goes from cellar to attic…this was done in
case wiring ever needed to be added upstairs so that one would not have to tear
the walls apart. Interesting note we once had a Christmas tree that touched the
ceiling!
Dining Room
-
Aside from the
multi room access, the dining room also features no base board heating allowing
infinite placement of furniture pieces such as a buffet or hutch which need to
be placed against the wall.
-
Features gleaming
Oak hardwood floors.
Screen Porch
-
Aside from the
obvious pluses lots of room for rainy day cookouts and evening outdoors without
the bugs this outdoor space features lighting, ceiling fan, spot for a hammock
and extra outlets.
-
Accessed through
three different doors: the Kitchen which is convenient for food access, the
sunroom and the laundry room which is great for cleaning up before going in
after being out in the yard.
-
There is also
screen door access to the back yard and another screen door that leads to a very
large open deck.
-
Another
possibility to consider, we used to have an above ground pool which had access
to the screen room from a very small added deck around the pool going through a
sliding screen door and an added gate where the railing normally is (for added
security) (note track space for door is still there …center screen panel by
picnic table).
Sunroom
-
This room can
double as an extension of either the dining room or the screen porch.
-
Features many
windows for lots of light and gleaming Oak hard wood floors.
Laundry/Sewing Room
-
This room has
plenty of room for laundry, sewing and crafts and features a folding table with
built in “sock basket” until you have time to match them!
-
Built in sewing
desk and built in peg hook boards for your accessories.
-
Shelves and
clothes rods for hanging up ironing and drying clothes.
-
Access from the
back screen porch so any messes do not get tracked through the house.
-
Laundry tub for
soaking or just washing up.
-
Pull-down stairs
to a walk up attic space with plenty of room for storage and has preliminary
wiring and plywood floor in case of future expansion.
Front Playroom/Exercise
Room/Recreation Room/Office

This room is more
of a multi purpose room and had served as playroom, recreation/family room
complete with a pool table, as an exercise room and as a spare bedroom for long
term guests!
Mud room
-
This multi
purpose service area has many hidden features; dual height hooks for coats,
hats, backpacks, etc., built in full length mirror for last minutes clothing
checks and the adjustable shelves are great for beach towels, gyms bags, sports
gear, winter wear.
-
When the kids
were young, each one had there own shelf basket as a catch all.
-
Built in bench
seat features storage inside and a built in heater for drying boots and shoes.
-
Access to the
garage and to the front porch as a service entrance as well as hallway access to
the laundry room and playroom.
